About Rick

Born and raised in Phippsburg, Maine, Richard Genthner went to Morse High School where he took the vocational track of carpentry under Tony Trippi. After continuing his education at CMCC in the two year building program, he began working for Paul Smith. Rick became a foreman under Paul and spent 14 years on his team working in every part of the business. Confident in his skills and years of experience, Rick started Genthner Carpentry in 2019. Rick is dedicated to treating each job with care and focus, ensuring every client feels heard and their project completed with excellence. From grand homes to simple summer cottages, Genthner Carpentry approaches every project as a unique opportunity to apply classic woodworking techniques to modern aesthetics.
